Lisa-Jean Foote, Director and Chartered Accountant.

Lisa-Jean Foote is a go-the-extra-mile kind of sort. Both in the office and on the track (ultra marathon anyone?).

Her tenacious attitude is all about getting the job done, and getting it done to the very best of her ability at that.

Lisa-Jean’s emotional intelligence allows her to build meaningful and truly trusted relationships with all of her clients - in a way that is unique to their nuances and their needs.

As a Chartered Accountant and a Xero Certified Partner, her career path and professional accolades are strongly complemented by her desire to use technology to better support your financial goals.

Lisa-Jean keeps things simple, in plain English and without complicated jargon so the overwhelming becomes really quite simple and the tricky becomes really quite smooth.

As a mum of two inquisitive and energetic young children, work/life balance is no mean feat. So as Owner and Director of Kindred.Co - and an engaged and available mum - both factors navigate and drive her to successfully plan for and manage the wants and needs of her own business.

Jassie van Helden, Practice Administration Manager.

Jassie brings an air of calm and positivity to the team, which is what we are all about at Kindred.Co. Nothing’s a problem, we handle the most delicate situations with respect, care, confidentiality and are solutions focused. That’s what we love about Jassie, she takes it all in her stride and fits in well.

Jassie’s organising the office, setting up systems, helping L-J get things done, and communicating with the wonderful people we have the privilege of working with. Jassie’s got experience across a variety of sectors, and knows a thing or two about being a landlord and keeping records for business.

But don’t be fooled by her love for processes and data… There’s more than meets the eye when it comes to Jassie; she’s a mum of two young ones, married to a magician & whale expert, and is a travel enthusiast.

Don Foote, Accounting Technician.

Don’s specialty is sorting and making sense of accounts, in any method received! He’s used many systems over the years and has seen his fair share of “shoe boxes”, so he isn’t afraid of figuring it out. He brings a thoughtful approach and is always keen to make suggestions that make things easier for you.

If you’ve been putting off dealing with your tax returns or GST because you are afraid of unravelling and dealing with it, then Don’s your man. He’s also Xero certified, so he can help with those curly questions too!

Beyond the office Don’s got a secret passion. He loves to travel the world and run in amazing places! Ask him about running in the desert in Jordan, along the Great Wall of China, or walking the San Camino in Spain or Italy, and the list goes on… It’s tempting to say this literally runs in the family: Lisa-Jean definitely takes after her father when it comes to those marathons.

Don was born and raised in Lower Moutere, Nelson and now resides in Te Horo on a great property with loads of fruit trees and chickens.

Allan Ponce, Bookkeeper.

Father of two young children, nothing is a challenge for Allan. When it comes to bookkeeping. Allan is a big fan of Xero, reporting, and can do just about anything with a spreadsheet.

We know that when you get busy, data entry, GST, Payroll, reconciling your Xero and entering bills just isn’t where you want to be spending your time. That’s ok, Allan will help take care of that for you, so you can spend more time on other things.

Allan is well immersed in other stock Applications such as Unleashed.

Joshua Rogerson, Junior Accountant.

Meet Joshua Rogerson, the latest (and tallest) member of our team.

Josh is assisting the Accountants with organisation around the office, getting important information from you so we can complete your tax returns quickly, completing spreadsheets and much more!

Payroll, sole trader and rental tax returns are Josh’s passions, and he is also learning more on Xero too.

Josh is gaining useful work experience with us while learning, which makes a dramatic change from his background in playing football internationally and provincially in NZ. He graduated from HIBS, is great at following processes and keen to impress.

Kirsten Rattray, Chartered Accountant.

Kirsten is a natural problem solver who enjoys seeing others succeed in their business and life.

Kirsten focuses on providing solutions on how to improve the numbers and make tax compliance easier.

As a Chartered Accountant with 19 years experience in tax she is considered a safe pair of hands. Oh, and did I mention she is also Xero Certified!

Having spent a large chunk of her life in Wellington, Kirsten is now a Kapiti Coast local. Outside of the office she enjoys time out and about with her dog Gigi and relaxing with family and friends.

Bekki Sherlock, Chartered Accountant.

Bekki is an Accountant and will be taking care of your Tax Returns, GST, Xero Training, and other tax related stuff!

Our clients really love Bekki, probably because she’s not your usual Accountant! Retrained from Events Management, she is great with people, and doesn’t overcomplicate things like Accountants tend to do! Bekki’s husband also is self-employed, so she knows all about running a business and juggling family.

Bekki hails from the US originally but has been in NZ for 15 years. She has 2 children aged 10 & 13 and enjoys yoga, swimming and running.

Sounds like maybe we’ve enough people to start a lunchtime running club!?
